Video: Brother of Deputy's Appointee at the Scene of My Son's Murder, Father of Victim from Aparan Shares Details
Just one day before the shooting, there was an argument that the entire police force, led by the police chief, was aware of. This argument continued at a gas station owned by the Deputy Governor, according to the father of Tigran Harutyunyan, who was killed in the shooting in Aparan.
"Present at the argument were the sons of the uncle of the Deputy Governor of Aragatsotn, Edgar Parvanyan, and the brother of Matevos Asatryan. Our demand is that a just investigation is conducted and all those responsible are punished. It is strange for everyone that a week has passed since the murder, and only one person has been arrested," he stated, adding that they will be demanding that all participants are punished.
When asked why the law enforcement system is providing little information and the authorities are silent, the father of the deceased said that it should not be politicized; their demand is to punish the guilty.
When asked if Deputy Governor Edgar Parvanyan and other representatives of the authorities were present at the wake, the father of Tigran Harutyunyan replied: "No, only the Governor was there. They say there's video footage of the incident, but it has been deleted from the gas station cameras owned by Edgar Parvanyan. They took it away. Now we will wait to see what actions the Investigative Committee and the police will take."
One of the relatives also noted that until the Parvanyans leave Aparan, they will not live in peace.
It should be recalled that gunshots were heard in the Aragatsotn region, resulting in the deaths of two young men. Immediately after the incident, rumors spread that a group of young people had started an argument over insulting Nikol Pashinyan, involving the relatives of the deputy of the ruling faction Matevos Asatryan and Deputy Governor Edgar Parvanyan. According to these reports, during the argument, the relatives of the ruling faction deputies shot at the young men with automatic weapons.
MP Matevos Asatryan from the ruling faction posted on his Facebook page, assuring that this is absolutely false and bears no relation to reality. The police also issued a statement emphasizing that the incident has no political context. Now, the relatives are demanding an objective investigation and that those responsible be revealed and not live in Aparan.
