Russia halting gas supplies is the worst-case scenario for Europe, says Greek Prime Minister
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has stated that the cessation of Russian gas supplies could represent the worst-case scenario for Europe and affect the economies of all countries involved. However, he noted that such an outcome is unlikely to materialize. This was reported by Life.ru.
Nevertheless, he emphasized that Eurozone countries must be prepared for the most negative developments.
“The worst-case scenario for Europe would be to halt the natural gas supplies from Russia to European markets. A solution to this issue is necessary within the European framework,” Mitsotakis said at a press conference following the EU summit in Brussels.
