Driver Fined Unjustly Three Times: Traffic Inspectors Committed Official Forgery
The Traffic Police of the Republic of Armenia has reported that during 2020-2021, three inspectors repeatedly drew up false reports regarding driver A. H., alleging that he had committed administrative violations, resulting in damages totaling 115,000 AMD.
This information was disclosed by the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia.
According to the charges, Traffic Police inspectors R. O., A. J., and R. N. created counterfeit documents during their service, despite the fact that A. H. did not commit any administrative violations in the village of Mikhailovka, Lori Province. These reports included misleading information, falsely claiming that A. H. had driven vehicles belonging to himself and others while committing infractions.
As a result, inspectors R. O., A. J., and R. N. caused A. H. damages of 45,000, 60,000, and 10,000 AMD, respectively.
The inspectors have been charged under Article 314, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Armenia (Official Forgery). The preliminary investigation of the criminal case against them has been completed, and the case has been submitted to the supervising prosecutor for approval and referral to court.
