20-Year-Old Girl Stabs Young Woman in Central Yerevan

In the Central administrative district of Yerevan, a dispute near the Children's Railway tunnel ended in a stabbing incident. This information has been reported by the press service of the Armenian Police.

According to the statement, the incident occurred on June 23 at approximately 01:10 AM. The hospital alerted the police, informing them that a 29-year-old young woman had been admitted for medical assistance.

Police officers determined that during the argument near the tunnel, the woman was stabbed by a 20-year-old girl. Criminal investigation officers detained the girl on Teishebaini Street at 06:00 AM on suspicion of causing bodily harm. She has provided a confession.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 112 of the Armenian Criminal Code (intentional infliction of serious harm). The 20-year-old girl has been arrested. An investigation is ongoing.
