On June 23, an accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 18:30, cars including an Opel Astra, Volkswagen Golf, Honda Elision, and Mercedes collided in front of building 54 on Komitas Avenue.

According to shamshyan.com, one firefighting unit from the Ministry of Emergency Situations swiftly arrived at the scene. The firefighters disconnected the power of the vehicles and secured the area.

Emergency medical services also arrived quickly, and the 13th ambulance brigade provided first aid to the driver of the Opel, 31-year-old Kajik Khurshudyan from Syunik region, who suffered head injuries but refused to be taken to the hospital despite the doctors' recommendations.

The Opel driver underwent a sobriety test on the spot and was found to be at the highest level of intoxication. Other drivers were also tested and were all found to be sober. Preliminary reports indicate that the drunk driver of the Opel was at fault for the accident and, in the presence of the police and injured drivers, he boasted, ‘The party’s a million; nothing can beat the party.’
