VIDEO: "We Have a New Historic Absolute Record" - Pashinyan
Today, on June 23, during a government meeting, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that in May, we have a new historic absolute record of registered paid workplaces in Armenia. In May, there were 673,224 paid jobs recorded in Armenia.
“We account only for those jobs that have received salary and income tax payments. Compared to May 2021, the number of jobs has increased by 38,273 or 6%. Compared to May 2019, it has increased by 72,359 or 12%, and compared to May 2018, by 125,235. This means that since May 2018, more than 125,000 jobs have been created in Armenia,” emphasized the Prime Minister.
According to Pashinyan, another important new record is the wage fund. That is, the total salaries paid to all employees. This fund amounted to 160 billion 56 million drams in May. This figure is an increase of 4 billion 531 million drams compared to May 2021, and compared to May 2018, it is an increase of 63 billion 369 million drams or 65%,” he highlighted.
According to Pashinyan, the total income tax figure for this May amounted to 32 billion 741 million drams, which is an increase of 3 billion 811 million drams compared to May 2021, and an increase of 8 billion 578 million drams compared to May 2018.
