Ceiling Torn Down in Attempted Bank Heist in Lori

This morning, on June 23, an extraordinary incident took place in Lori Province. Around 02:20, an officer from the main directorate of the State Protection Service of the Police of Armenia alerted the Tumanyan division of police, reporting that the security alarm system of the "Tumanyan" branch of a bank operating in Alaverdi had been triggered.

According to shamshyan.com, a rapid response team from the police arrived at the scene. The police discovered that an unknown individual or individuals had opened the bank's entrance door from the outside and had torn down the ceiling in the room designated for the safe.

As per Shamshyan's information, this section of the bank branch had been unoccupied and left unmonitored. It is located on the second floor of the building, where the panel flooring was dismantled using technical means with a diameter of about 30 cm, allowing them to gain access to the safe room, where they attempted to open the safe door with a metallic lever-like object. Presumably, upon realizing that the alarm had been activated, they fled without taking anything.
