Who is the candidate for the position of Attorney General from the CP?

"Civil Contract" faction will nominate Anna Vardapetyan for the position of Attorney General of Armenia. This was stated by the head of the CP faction Hayk Konjoryan during a conversation with journalists in the National Assembly.

“Ms. Vardapetyan meets the most important mission that the future Attorney General of Armenia should have, both in terms of her professional qualifications and her high moral and ethical qualities, as well as the requirements set by law,” he said.

In response to the remark that Anna Vardapetyan is the assistant to the Prime Minister, this fact does not undermine her impartiality, Konjoryan replied that Anna Vardapetyan is not affiliated with any party.

“I am confident that after her election, Ms. Vardapetyan will undoubtedly carry out the actions prescribed to her by the Constitution and laws of Armenia, and will be pure and responsible in front of the Constitution, legislation, and her conscience. You ask about impartiality; we have had other candidates before where this observation was also made, but I think these observations cannot be projected onto everyone,” he added.
