Ralph Yirikyan Leaves the Company
Russian largest mobile operator and leading provider of digital and media services, MTS OJSC (NYSE: MBT, MOEX: MTSS) announces that the board of directors of its Armenian subsidiary, MTS Armenia (Viva-MTS), has appointed Armen Avetisyan as the new CEO of Viva-MTS. Prior to his appointment, Armen Avetisyan served as the vice president for Internet of Things and industrial automation at MTS OJSC. This information was provided by the public relations department of Viva-MTS.
Armen Avetisyan began his career in the IT and telecommunications sector in 2004, leading technical and commercial departments in major telecom and IT companies. From 2013 to 2016, he managed the MTS branch in the Krasnoyarsk region of the Russian Federation, and from 2016 to 2021, he worked as the director of regional development at MTS. As vice president for Internet of Things and industrial automation at MTS, a position he held from March 2021 until his recent appointment as CEO, he established a new business direction for the company in the IoT sector. He graduated from Plekhanov Russian University of Economics with a degree in Banking.
The former CEO of MTS Armenia, Ralph Yirikyan, who has led the company since its founding in 2004 and under whose leadership Viva-MTS became the undisputed leader in the telecommunications sector in Armenia, is leaving the company to pursue other business projects.
