Georgian President Visits Azerbaijan, Discusses Armenian-Azerbaijani Relations
Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has made a working visit to Azerbaijan. According to reports in the Georgian media, President Zurabishvili visited Baku to participate in the IX Global Forum in Baku on the theme of “Threats to the Global Order.”
Zurabishvili stated that she welcomes the support provided by the EU for the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations and emphasized the importance of having countries in the South Caucasus develop their relations in a natural way.
She highlighted that the EU has the necessary experience to contribute to the normalization of relations between Yerevan and Baku. The Georgian leader noted that the South Caucasus could become an even more important region if lasting and stable peace is established there.
