Truck Collision on Yerevan-Meghri Road Results in Injuries

On June 15, at 18:33, the Vayots Dzor regional crisis management center received a report regarding a traffic accident on the Yerevan-Meghri highway, near the village of Arpi. A KamAZ truck overturned, as informed by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

An operational group from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and a firefighting unit were dispatched to the scene.

It was found that at kilometer 116 of the Yerevan-Meghri highway, a KamAZ truck (driver: S. M., born in 1965) collided with a stationary Scania truck with a trailer (driver: A. M.).

Rescue workers cordoned off the area, extricated the driver of the KamAZ truck from the wreckage, and transported him to an ambulance. The injured individual was hospitalized at the medical center in Yeghgnadzor, where his condition has been assessed as stable by doctors.
