Major Car Accident Leaves Injured
Today, on June 15, a car accident occurred in the Kotayk region. At around 11:30, a Mercedes C550 driven by 35-year-old Edgar Abrahamyan collided with a Toyota Sprinter driven by 46-year-old Hayk Gevorgyan at the end of the Kaghsi village.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, the Toyota veered off the roadway and partially overturned.
Emergency services quickly responded from the rescue service's Firefighter Unit 44 in Hrazdan with one combat team. The firefighters disabled the car, closed the gas tank, and then assisted the passengers of the Toyota: 37-year-old Satenik Mikayelyan, 41-year-old Hasmik Gevorgyan, and 32-year-old Keghetsik Parazyan, who were transported by the emergency vehicle from Hrazdan hospital and hospitalized at the mentioned medical center.
The traffic police from the 2nd Battalion of the 2nd Army Corps also arrived on the scene, led by Battalion Commander Arthur Petrosyan and Squad Commander Sargis Bagratyan. The investigative activities on-site were supervised by Senior Investigator Karl Baghyan from the same battalion, who is preparing materials regarding the accident.
