On June 18, a conscript soldier was killed by enemy gunfire in the direction of Vardenis. This information was reported to NEWS.am by Davit Shahbazyan, the leader of the "United Vardenis" faction in the Vardenis council.

“Yesterday, around noon, the enemy fired shots in the direction of Vardenis, resulting in the death of a conscript soldier. Currently, it is calm, and there are no more shots,” he stated.

The Ministry of Defense confirmed the casualty information during a conversation with Aurornews.
