QP Deputy Narek Sargsyan has denied rumors claiming that he cut his veins to avoid military service. “I have denied this a couple of times; this is an immoral lie. I did not serve in the army, but during the war, I commanded the ‘Gegharkunik’ battalion and was the commander of the 1st platoon,” he stated during a conversation with reporters in the parliament.

It is worth noting that according to circulating media reports, the QP deputy allegedly attempted self-harm by cutting the veins in his wrist to evade military service.
