Large Hail the Size of Eggs Falls in Lori Province

Large Hail the Size of Eggs Falls in Lori Province

On June 10, a hailstorm lasting about 25 minutes struck the village of Urut in Lori Province, marking the fifth such event in the village over the past two months. This was reported in an interview with a local resident, who requested anonymity.

“The previous hailstorms had nearly completely destroyed the farmer's work. The size of the most recent hail was unprecedented, comparable to that of eggs, or even larger. Everything in the adjacent plots has been damaged, and we were buying seedlings for the fourth time now. The fruit trees, including cherries, apple trees, and pear trees, are in terrible condition; some have even dried up. Some of the walnut trees have suffered from freezing, while others have been damaged by hail; the flowers and leaves of the hazelnut trees have fallen beneath the trees,” the resident recounted.
