Grigoryan Remains in Custody

Defense lawyer Ruben Melikyan, commenting on the measure of restraint for Armen Grigoryan, wrote: “The Court of Appeal, chaired by Lusine Hovhannisyan, rejected our appeal against the detention of Armen Grigoryan. The decision was predictable, given the political and discriminatory nature of the criminal prosecution against Armen Grigoryan. Further comments will come after reviewing the decision.”

It is worth noting that Armen Grigoryan has been detained for publicly humiliating the national dignity of the residents of Shirak and Ararat plains through the internet and mass media, as well as for casting doubt on their ethnic origins with fabricated ideas.
