We Don't Trust Argishti Kyaramyan, Says Mother of Fallen Soldier on Refusal to Meet
Parents of soldiers who died in the 44-day war, demanding that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan be held accountable in a state treason case, today refused to meet with the head of the Investigative Committee, Argishti Kyaramyan, stating that they have "no confidence" in him.
"We do not trust Argishti Kyaramyan... His previous meeting was enough for us to understand that they did not take us seriously. Ultimately, that man is appointed by the person we are fighting against, who is responsible for all this. Argishti Kyaramyan has nothing to say to us..." said Anna Mkrtchyan.
She also noted that last Friday the parents attempted to meet with Argishti Kyaramyan to understand whether their demand for Nikol Pashinyan to be summoned for questioning would be met, but the committee stated that Kyaramyan was not present.
It is worth mentioning that Karine Tonoyan, the mother of Menua Hovhannisyan, who died in the 44-day war, stated during a press conference today that Kyaramyan had exhibited inappropriate behavior in their previous meeting. Although Kyaramyan later apologized for it, they demand that the case be transferred to the National Security Service.
