One of the Robbers Who Stole $90,000 from an Indian Citizen Identified

Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Central Police Division have identified part of the $90,000 that was stolen from 39-year-old Sahil Nanavatin, a citizen of the Republic of India, under the threat of a weapon on June 8 in Yerevan, according to shamshyan.com.

On June 8, around 10:15 PM, S. Nanavatin, who resides in one of the buildings on Argishti Street in Yerevan, reported to the police that a citizen had stolen $90,000 and 35,000 AMD from him under the threat of a weapon.

A police operational group was dispatched to the scene. While investigators and forensic experts were working at the incident site, officers from the Central Police Division identified one of the individuals involved in the crime and, upon learning his location, conducted explanatory work that led to him voluntarily presenting himself to the Central Police Division shortly thereafter.

From there, he was transferred to the Investigative Division of the Kentron and Norq Marash administrative regions, where he was arrested by the investigator's decision.

The police and the investigative division are undertaking necessary operational investigative measures to identify the other individuals involved in the crime and to recover the remainder of the stolen money.
