China's Defense Ministry Promises to Prevent Taiwan's Independence at Any Cost

The spokesperson of China's Ministry of Defense, Wu Qian, has expressed readiness to confront Taiwan's independence and attempts to separate the island at any cost. This was reported by China Central Television, as noted by Life.ru.

Defense Minister Wei Fenghe emphasized that if anyone dares to detach Taiwan, the Chinese military will certainly be prepared to fight, and it will not hesitate to destroy any plans aimed at separating Taiwan or achieving its independence. This statement was made summarizing the outcomes of the meeting between China's Defense Minister Wei Fenghe and Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin.

He stated that the People's Liberation Army of China will resolutely defend the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
