VIDEO: How a Prisoner Seized a Guard’s Weapon and Opened Fire in Russia

During an attempted escape from a court in Rostov-on-Don, footage captured the moment defendant Ivan Kostyukov attacked a guard yesterday.

The prisoner knocked him to the floor, delivering numerous blows to his neck and back, and managed to seize the service weapon. Following this, he opened fire five times on the officer, hitting him in the shoulder, hand, and leg. Kostyukov was silenced by return fire.

The victims, the guard and the officer, are currently hospitalized.

Reports indicate that 49-year-old Ivan Kostyukov was involved in a robbery and had previously been convicted of murder.
