VIDEO: Pulled the grenade ring and threatened to steal cash from the exchange point. Investigative Committee on the incident

The Investigative Committee of Armenia is taking necessary measures to uncover a robbery case against an employee of a currency exchange point in the Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan. This was reported by the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

The call regarding the robbery of cash from the currency exchange point operating in a shopping center was received on June 12, 2022, at 23:26. An investigative-operational group immediately headed to the scene.

According to preliminary data, on June 12, 2022, around 22:50, a masked individual armed with a grenade entered the currency exchange point and, by pulling the pin of the grenade and threatening to use serious violence endangering the life and health of the employee, stole approximately 4,400,000 AMD in cash that was in the currency exchange point and fled the scene.

A criminal case has been initiated based on Article 175, Part 3, Clause 1 and Article 235, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Armenia.

An investigation is ongoing. Necessary measures are being undertaken to ensure an objective and comprehensive examination, clarify all circumstances of the incident, identify the perpetrator of the apparent crime, and bring them before the prosecution body.

The investigative body has been given assignments.
