17-Year-Old Girl Found Hanging: Investigative Committee Reports

The Investigative Committee of Armenia's Tavush region is conducting an inquiry to clarify all circumstances surrounding the death of a 17-year-old girl.

According to the Committee, preliminary information indicates that on June 3, 2022, around 18:50, a report was received from a medical center stating that the body of a girl born in 2005 was found hanging in one of the houses in the Ijevan community of Tavush.

An investigative-operational group immediately went to the scene. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 110, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code.

Urgent investigative and procedural actions have been carried out, including inspections of the crime scene, seizures, and the questioning of several individuals. A forensic examination of the body has also been commissioned. The preliminary investigation is ongoing, and directives have been issued to the investigative body.
