“We Have Been Deceived”: Gevorg Gorgisyan
Under Kocharian's leadership, the resettlement program for Artsakh was suspended and terminated; now discussions are about revitalizing Artsakh. Kocharian had 10 years, and Sargsyan had 10 years; they should have resolved the issue, making Artsakh either independent or part of Armenia.
Gevorg Gorgisyan, deputy chairman of the LHK, expressed this viewpoint during the program "At the Center with Arkadi Grigoryan."
“The previous authorities deceived us with myths about security, weakened the country, and did not prepare it for war. The demands of the opposition that has taken to the streets are not political; their demand is merely to seize power. Their latest statements regarding Armenian-Azerbaijani and Armenian-Turkish relations are nothing but another show—a clearly contentless, manipulative text,” the politician stated.
According to Gorgisyan, the opposition claims they will come to power and do the same as Pashinyan but better. He is convinced that the opposition movement has dwindled, as people are not participating, realizing that those leading it have deceived them.
