What Do the Opposition Want: 'Hraparak'
‘Hraparak’ newspaper reports: In the office of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation yesterday, the coordinator of the resistance movement, Ishkhan Saghatelyan, met with about two dozen extra-parliamentary forces to discuss the formation of a joint front and the statement to be published at the extraordinary session of the National Assembly tomorrow.
Participants included ARF President Paruyr Hayrikyan, Chairman of the National Security Garnik Isagulyan, Chairman of the Armenian Renaissance Zaruhi Postanjyan, leader of the Democratic Party Aram Sargsyan, Chairman of the Freedom Party Hrant Bagratyan, Ara Zohrebyan from 'Zartonk', Aram Harutyunyan from 'Hamadzayn', Sargis Avetisyan from 'Hamernaghtutyun', and Manuk Sukiasyan from 'Intellectual Armenia', as well as representatives from the 5165 movement and the ‘Homeland’ party.
It should be noted that on June 3, the opposition in the National Assembly is convening an extraordinary session at 16:00, with the text of a statement regarding Armenian-Turkish and Azerbaijani-Armenian relations on the agenda, stating that “Artsakh should never be part of Azerbaijan.” The ruling party has already announced that they will not participate in the extraordinary session. The opposition plans to gather as many people as possible and exert pressure to ensure the session is held.
