VIDEO: It's true, he is my relative. Ombudsman on the controversial open lesson
“I see nothing wrong with including the national characteristics, history, historical relations, and even information about the cuisine of neighboring countries in our knowledge and educational content,” said Ombudsman Kristine Grigoryan during a press briefing today, addressing the open lesson held at School No. 4 in Sevan.
“I see no bad in this; on the contrary, I believe it is very important from the perspective of a child's education, development, and awareness to imagine the environment in which the child lives,” she noted.
“Regarding whether the cuisine should be included in educational programs or the boundaries of autonomy for teachers during the educational process, I believe the Ministry of Education is the appropriate address for this question,” the Ombudsman remarked.
