Chelsea's New Owner Issues Statement After Buying the Club from Abramovich

Chelsea’s new owner Todd Boehly has released a statement following the acquisition of the club from Russian businessman Roman Abramovich, reports Gazeta.

“It is a great honor for us to be the new owner of Chelsea Football Club. We are 100% committed to every minute of every game. We want fans to be proud of the club.

Alongside our commitment to youth development and talent acquisition, our roadmap is to make long-term investments in the club and build a remarkable success story for Chelsea. I personally want to thank the British government, as well as the ministers and officials of the English Premier League for their work,” said Boehly, as quoted by Chelsea's press service.

It is worth noting that the American consortium paid £4.25 billion to purchase the “Blues.” Chelsea was unable to win any titles this season, having lost in the finals of both the FA Cup and the League Cup. In the Premier League, the team finished in third place.
