VIDEO: Police Use Brutal Force on Vardevanyan by Choking Him

The police officer, who applied evident excessive force on MP Aram Vardevanyan, is the same "red beret" who brutally beat three wartime participants, retired Giorgi Arestakesean (known as Grandpa Zhor). Notably, he used the same choking technique on Arestakesean. There are numerous videos of such incidents of violence by this officer circulating on the internet. This was stated by lawyer Mikayel Shkhimyan on his Facebook page, commenting on the use of force against Vardevanyan.

He also shared photos and added: "I would like to remind that a report was filed by G. Arestakesean in connection with this case, however, charges were ultimately brought against G. Arestakesean himself. The materials in this regard are being prepared in the Anti-Corruption Committee, therefore, I urge the person who reported the incident involving the MP to also reference the case of Giorgi Arestakesean while filing their report. Such individuals do not have the right to wear shoulder straps. Punishment will not be delayed..."
