Johnson Called to Restrain Imperial Ambitions
The senator from the Crimea region, Sergey Tsekov, a member of the Russian Federation Council's International Committee, commented on the information regarding the creation of an alliance against Russia, calling on British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to restrain imperial ambitions.
Earlier, the Corriere Della Sera newspaper reported, citing its sources, that Boris Johnson had offered Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to create a European alliance against Russia. It was noted that besides Ukraine, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania could also later include Turkey in this alliance.
“Great Britain was great, today it is simply Great Britain. Their time has passed. It is time for Johnson to rest and moderate his imperial aspirations. The sooner the British citizens free themselves from Johnson's power, the more they will have the opportunity to keep their country out of military conflict,” Tsekov told RIA Novosti.
According to him, the new alliance, if it really comes to pass, will become a gathering of Russophobes. “I am confident that the Turkish leadership will not engage in such a reckless adventure as participating in Johnson's gathering,” the senator emphasized.
