“This is not a one-day problem”: Kheroyan on whether farmers will have water issues this year

After the government meeting, Armenia's Minister of Economy Vahan Kheroyan stated in a press briefing: “We are increasing our investments in the development of the water sector. This is not a one-day problem, and in response to your question about whether farmers will have water issues this year or not, I cannot answer. However, the data we have today regarding the reservoir levels is better than last year's. We hope that this year we will have much fewer water problems,” he said.

Kheroyan noted that as part of the water reforms, the Armenian government plans to construct 15 reservoirs, two of which are already in the construction phase.
