Will the Opposition Participate in the National Assembly Q&A? Vanetsyan Responds

The authorities are anxious and panicked. The situation in the country has changed, marches are being held, roads are being blocked, and those who do not participate in the marches are welcoming us. This was stated today, on May 25, by Arthur Vanetsyan, the former director of the NSS, president of the 'Homeland' party, and head of the 'Honorary' faction in the National Assembly, during a conversation with journalists near the presidential residence on Baghramyan Avenue.

'This government has accepted power as a means to improve their own well-being. In this case, it is already a means to increase personal well-being. You see, this government, starting from the person occupying the prime minister's chair to the last official, is hiding behind police forces,' he said.

Commenting on the statements by representatives of the government that opposition members can receive answers to all their questions in the National Assembly, including during Q&A sessions, Vanetsyan said, 'In general, since this parliament was formed, I have not participated in Q&A sessions, because I consider it a pointless activity, it is irresponsible to engage in Q&A with liars. I have also stated that I have no business in the National Assembly; I will be in the streets, with the people.'

It is noteworthy that early in the morning, participants of the 'Resistance' movement marched from France Square to Baghramyan Avenue, where they blocked the presidential residence. The previous day's march of the 'Resistance' movement had blocked all entrances to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for several hours, and an evening rally took place near the Statue of Sasuntsi David.
