Heavy Rains and Power Outages: MoD on the Situation

Heavy rains have been reported in Yerevan and several regions.

Auroranews.am contacted the press secretary of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Hayk Kostanyan. He stated that there have been emergency power outages in various administrative districts of Yerevan. The Armenian Electricity Networks have announced that they are working to restore electricity. Power will be restored soon.

Regarding whether the Ministry received any calls following the sharp deterioration in weather conditions, the spokesman mentioned that there is currently no updated information.

We also remind you of the weather forecast for the upcoming days. On May 23, the day will see rain and thunderstorms in significant parts of the regions on the 24th and 25th. Hail is also possible in some areas. Rainfall is expected during nighttime hours as well. From May 26 to 28, dry weather is anticipated.
