Pashinyan on the Collapse of the Tsitsernakaberd Highway, Opposition Protests, and Traffic Jam
According to my assessment, the current situation is no longer political but logistical. Because we are now talking about traffic jams and the degree of traffic flow in the city. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a Q&A session with the Government in the National Assembly.
“I must be honest and say that what is happening has slightly less political significance than the collapse of the Tsitsernakaberd highway, here a synergy is being created, and we see a higher degree of congestion. This process started with political emphases, and the opposition in Armenia has had more than a month to express its views to the public through all possible political means,” said Pashinyan.
He noted that the opposition's struggle is now not against the government, but against the public. “We even have new records when political figures declare that their clothing is more expensive than that of the police or citizens, claiming that they can provide the weekly budget of the average statistical citizen of Armenia with their yet-unknown right or left boot,” Pashinyan emphasized, stating that the political meaning of the ongoing events has been exhausted.
