Russian Authorities to Seek Arrest of Azerbaijani Who Insulted Marshal Zhukov

Moscow's Basmanny Court has issued a absentia arrest warrant. It is recalled that the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs had declared a wanted notice for Rovshan Askerov, a long-time participant in the television show "What? Where? When?".

The reason for the proceedings was Askerov's Facebook post on April 6, in which he made several insulting remarks about Soviet military commander, Marshal Georgy Zhukov. Askerov referred to Zhukov as a "seasoned thief".

It later became clear that Askerov had left the territory of Russia and gone to Azerbaijan.
