Photographs Released Indicating Johnson's Participation in Lockdown Party

Photographs leaked online from one of the "Covid parties" showing UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson drinking with his aides have infuriated British politicians and endangered his political career once again. This is reported by Daily Mail.

In the released photographs, the British Prime Minister is seen toasting in honor of one of his departing officials, Lee Cain, on November 13, 2020, during a nationwide lockdown when public gatherings were prohibited. Johnson's press office has stated that the Prime Minister left the gathering just 15 minutes after it started; however, people familiar with the situation claim he personally continued to pour drinks for the toasts.

Scotland Yard has refused to explain why the Prime Minister was not fined for the November 13 event. Due to the published photographs, the political scandal surrounding Johnson, which had calmed down, may erupt once again. Public discontent is further fueled by reports that Johnson secretly met with senior civil servant Sue Gray, who is investigating the so-called "Partygate." It is believed that the Prime Minister convinced her not to publish a report on the findings of her investigation.
