Important: The Deputy Prime Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan Meet at the State Border
Today, at the Armenia-Azerbaijan state border, a meeting took place between the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Mher Grigoryan, and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Shahin Mustafayev. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that the meeting was held within the framework of the implementation of agreements reached between the two countries and based on relevant directives.
The discussions were conducted jointly under the format of the commissions on demarcation and border security issues between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The parties reaffirmed their readiness to work within the commissions on demarcation and other relevant issues, including ensuring border security.
Organizational and procedural matters regarding the joint activities of the commissions were also discussed. Alongside meetings at the state border, the parties agreed on the appropriateness of using different platforms for future meetings of the commissions. Specifically, it was agreed that the second meeting would be held in Moscow and the third in Brussels.
