The missing hiker in Artsakh is alive: he has been found

The 63-year-old citizen of Armenia who went missing on the road from Kachaghakaberd to the Khachen River in Artsakh has been located. Hunan Tadevosyan, the head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Artsakh Ministry of Internal Affairs, informed this to Sputnik Armenia.

“As a result of the search and rescue operations, the missing Armenian citizen in Artsakh has been found alive,” he said. Tadevosyan added that no further details are available at the moment. The agency will issue an additional statement later.

It should be noted that the Armenian citizen went missing during a hike in the territory of the Kolatak community in the Martakert region on the morning of May 22. The 63-year-old S.M. was one of the members of the hiking group that had descended to the banks of the Khachen River. While descending from Kachaghakaberd to the Khachen River, he stated that he would go ahead and wait for the group near the bridge. Upon reaching the bridge, the group did not find S.M. in the mentioned area.
