Military Drills to Be Held in Taiwan: China's Response to the U.S.

China's Foreign Ministry has urged the United States to be cautious in its statements regarding Taiwan. This comes after President Biden declared the U.S.'s willingness to "defend Taiwan" through military means.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry has demanded that the U.S. halt all official communications with Taiwan following visits to the island by U.S. lawmakers.

The People's Liberation Army of China has also announced that its aviation and naval forces will conduct exercises in the East China Sea and in Taiwanese waters, in response to what it calls the U.S.'s "misguided signals" regarding the island.
