Four Dead and Dozens Missing Following Building Collapse in Iran: Al Hadath
Four people have died and dozens are missing following a building collapse in Iran, according to Al Hadath. The incident occurred on Monday in the southwestern city of Abadan.
State television reports that at least five people were killed as a result of the collapse of a newly constructed commercial building. Concerns have risen that the death toll may be much higher, as it is believed that over 80 people remain trapped under the rubble.
The building, located on the "busiest central street of the city", is adjacent to commercial, medical, and administrative structures. Mojtaba Khalidi, a representative of the national emergency service, has reported that "five people have died and 27 have been injured" due to the collapse.
