Turkey's Leader Called 'Putin's Man in NATO' by Fox News

Turkey has become Russia's "secret weapon" within NATO due to its stance on Ukraine and the alliance's expansion. This is reported by Fox News.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's decision to block Sweden's and Finland's membership in NATO is not the first instance of Ankara opposing the West. He is actively trying to destabilize the alliance following a 2016 coup attempt against him, the news outlet states.

Since the onset of the conflict in Ukraine, Turkey has not imposed sanctions against Russia. Meanwhile, in 2020, Washington itself imposed sanctions on Ankara for the purchase of Russian S-400 systems.

Experts believe that Erdoğan either leverages Western associations or confronts them depending on which is more advantageous at the moment. Some even nickname the Turkish leader as "Putin’s man in NATO."
