Russia Closes Its Borders to 963 US Citizens, Including Joe Biden
Russia has closed its borders to 963 US citizens, as reported by the Russian Foreign Ministry. According to a statement published on the ministry's website, the individuals included in the 'stop list' are representatives of US authorities who are involved in 'provoking Russophobia,' as well as those who serve them.
'We emphasize that the hostile actions undertaken by Washington, which have boomeranged back on the United States itself, will continue to receive appropriate responses,' the ministry's statement reads.
The website provides a list of nearly 1,000 individuals, including politicians, officials, and several senior US officials who have been on Russia's 'stop list' since March 15. This list includes US President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley.
'Russian counter-sanctions are of a forced nature and aim to compel the American ruling regime, which seeks to impose a world order based on neo-colonial rules, to change its behavior in recognition of new geopolitical realities,' emphasized the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The ministry also noted that Moscow is not seeking confrontation and is open to honest dialogue based on mutual respect.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry added 398 US Congress members to its blacklist in response to the latest wave of anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the Biden administration against 328 members of the State Duma.
