Aram Grigoryan, Assistant to Arthur Vanetsyan, Detained: Lawyer

Aram Grigoryan, the assistant to Arthur Vanetsyan, has been detained. This was reported by lawyer Ervand Varosyan a short while ago.

It is noted that on April 23, several media outlets circulated a video titled ‘Vanetsyan’s Assistant Aram Grigoryan is Distributing Money for Participation in Protest Actions,’ however, it later became clear that the video was old, filmed in winter on Demirchyan Street. In the footage, he was seen giving money to certain citizens.

Ervand Varosyan emphasized that Grigoryan had provided money to homeless individuals during the winter. Currently, officers from the criminal investigation department of the police are conducting a search of Aram Grigoryan’s residence as part of a criminal case being investigated by the Investigative Committee, seeking lists of protest participants.

During the search, law enforcement discovered nothing in the apartment; however, a decision was made to detain Grigoryan, which Varosyan considers illogical.
