Zelensky Named Most Influential Person of 2022

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has been named the most influential person of 2022, according to readers of Time magazine.

“When Russian troops launched a large-scale invasion of Ukraine in February, Zelensky, who was a comedian with no political experience prior to being elected President of Ukraine in 2019, stepped onto the world stage and rallied leaders to support Ukraine,” the magazine noted.

Zelensky garnered over 3.3 million votes, securing first place with 5 percent of the total votes. In second place is Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, with 3.5 percent of the votes. Third is Boris Johnson, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, who received 3.4 percent of the votes.
