VIDEO: Is Physical Threat to Pashinyan Imminent from Our Presence? MP to NSS Chief

We want to enter and inform the international community about what is happening in Armenia. I want to talk about my political prisoner friend who fought in Artsakh. This was stated today, on May 20, at the forum titled 'Armenian Democracy,' organized by the international organization Freedom House at the Marriott Hotel, by MP Tadevos Avetisyan from the 'Armenia' parliamentary faction, who demanded to be allowed to enter the forum hall.

Director of the NSS Special Forces, Sargis Hovhannisyan, did not allow him to enter, stating that he could send a letter to the government. Agnesa Hamoyan, also from the 'Armenia' faction, added, 'So you want to say that physical threat is posed to Nikol Pashinyan from our presence? Nikol Pashinyan has declared Armenia as the bastion of democracy. The US ambassador two days ago was defending Nikol Pashinyan, obviously interfering in the internal political life of Armenia. We want to say that with their double games, they are bringing Armenia closer to dictatorship.'

Sargis Hovhannisyan responded, saying they are fulfilling their duties and urged reading the law. Anna Grigoryan from the 'Armenia' faction added, 'Let's note that Nikol Pashinyan will henceforth remain behind closed doors. Behind the backs of police officers and servicemen, because he can no longer face the people and reality. He can no longer walk around the city, talking to people.'

It should be noted that Freedom House is holding a forum on 'Armenian Democracy' at the Marriott Hotel, where Nikol Pashinyan is scheduled to speak, and EU and US ambassadors, as well as representatives from human rights organizations, are present. Citizens demanding Nikol Pashinyan's resignation and concerned about the security of Armenia and Artsakh have gathered in front of the Marriott Hotel to present the real state of democracy in Armenia.
