VIDEO: Head Down, Embraced. How Protesters Are Being Detained
There is a tense situation on Rubinyats Street in Yerevan, where the opposition action is led by the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Ishkhan Saghatelyan.
As previously reported, they started their march from the Gayi Boulevard, in front of the 'Megamall.' However, upon reaching Kanaker-Zeytun, the police formed a barrier and did not allow the participants of the march to proceed.
Ishkhan Saghatelyan suggested that they sit on the ground for a while, but the police, using brute force, began to detain the participants of the action.
Saghatelyan stated, "The more they arrest, the more we will multiply tenfold and continue our actions." It is also noted that a large rally is scheduled for today at 7:00 PM in France Square.
