Under Shouts of 'Nikol, Traitor,' Pashinyan Entered Marriott Hotel
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, arrived at the Marriott Hotel, where the Armenian Democracy Forum is taking place. Members of the 'Resistance' movement welcomed Pashinyan with whistles, as well as chants of 'shame' and 'Nikol, traitor.'
Also attending the conference are the Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, and U.S. Ambassador Lynn Tracy. Everyone entered the hotel through the back entrance.
One of the members of the 'Resistance' stated, 'We will not allow Armenia to be Turkified, nor to hand over Artsakh to Azerbaijan. Without the Turk, Armenia is a reality, victory is very close, and our struggle is unstoppable.'
The opposition is calling on the U.S. to recall its ambassador due to her disrespectful attitude towards the Armenian people. Notably, days earlier, Tracy stated that the U.S. is committed to helping the Armenian people build a future based on shared democratic values and the path chosen by the Armenian people in 2018 and reaffirmed in the 2021 elections.
It is worth mentioning that the opposition arrived near the Marriott to present evidence that freedom of speech, the press, and democracy are being violated in Armenia.
