Foreign Information Security Systems to be Banned in Russia from 2025
Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that foreign information security systems will be banned starting in 2025 due to an "information war" against the country. This was reported by Radio Liberty.
Instead, the president proposed creating a unified state information security system. Putin made this statement during a Security Council meeting.
He believes that the coordination of actions by all structures to ensure the information security of critical infrastructure must be established at the strategic level. According to him, this is necessary due to the increase in cyberattacks on Russian entities and services by "various countries."
The tools for information protection include antivirus programs, DDoS attack prevention software, data leakage protection systems, user authentication services, and more.
