We Have Requested the Chief of Police to Initiate Proceedings Against Anna Mkrtchyan: Ioannisyan

Daniel Ioannisyan, the founder of the civil society organization 'We Are Informed Citizens', has made a statement indicating that they have demanded the administrative prosecution of Anna Mkrtchyan, a member of the 'Honorary' faction.

"In recent days, MP Anna Mkrtchyan has clearly obstructed the lawful activities of the police multiple times and has failed to comply with the lawful demands of the police. As such, there is evidently a violation in Mkrtchyan's actions that falls under Article 182 of the Code on Administrative Offences. Moreover, an MP does not have any immunity that protects them from punishment for administrative violations. Therefore, we have addressed a letter to the Chief of Police demanding that proceedings be initiated against Anna Mkrtchyan and an infringement report be prepared," Ioannisyan wrote.
