Turkey Cannot Abandon Russia and Russian Gas: Erdogan

Turkey has informed NATO members that it will reject the membership of Sweden and Finland, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced. Erdogan stated that Sweden is a haven for terrorism and added that “if one of the NATO countries says no, then it cannot accept a new member into the organization.”

He also asserted that Turkey has no intention of severing relations with either Putin or Zelensky, emphasizing that Turkey cannot abandon Russia and Russian gas, as this is a strategic issue.
