The Government is Trying to Keep the Family of Hero Mkhtiar Galeyan in a Hostage Situation: Abrahamyan

Member of Parliament from the "I Have Honor" faction Tigran Abrahamyan wrote on his Facebook page: "The situation surrounding the father of hero Mkhtiar Galeyan, Garik, and his brother, Arthur, completely demonstrates the complete absence of moral values and ethics of this government. As a result of the government’s lawlessness, Garik was first arrested, after which his health deteriorated so much that he was transferred to the hospital. His brother, Arthur, was arrested and is being taken for detention.

Today, we spent 9-10 hours in the Armenian Investigative Committee's Military Main Directorate, where the political authority staged another act of impudence. The government is trying to keep the family members of hero Mkhtiar Galeyan in a hostage situation, aiming to suppress the activism of the parents and relatives of our fallen soldiers.

I will say it right away—it won’t work, because those people, along with the citizens rallying around them, will do everything to push forward their just demands and reach a final resolution.

We must stand by the families of the fallen and missing heroes, and support our friends who were disabled as a result of the war. This is a question of moral responsibility for all of us."
