Many are in captivity today in the CPP: Aghvan Vardanian
Many are in captivity today in the CPP. This was stated by Aghvan Vardanian, a member of the National Assembly from the 'Armenia' faction, in an interview with Tert.am.
"When I said that there are 15-20 notorious figures, I also meant that within this government, there are Armenian people who have their own past, they have descendants, they have families, and they too understand this destructive process and will wake up one day, right? Yes, they have made mistakes, yes, today they do not dare to speak out,” he noted.
In response to a clarifying question on whether he sees people in the CPP who could switch to your side, the deputy replied, "Not our side, the people's side, why would it be our side? Ultimately, the notorious figures I mentioned will have to answer before the law, those unpatriotic individuals. But there are indeed Armenian people there, of course, and the circle is much wider. I am confident that a significant part of our society has already rejected this government and there are several issues that, with more creative approaches and by actively involving our society—and various circles such as spiritual, cultural, business, and military—we will have a government of real dignitaries."
